As a member organization of the Iowa Council of Foundations, we believe that, in order to fully realize the ICoF’s mission of strengthening and growing philanthropy in Iowa, our conduct, policies, and practices – at the personal and organizational level – must adhere to the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in our work.
At a minimum, this requires following all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including upholding fiduciary duties. It also means that we adhere to the highest standards set forth in our respective fields, including the National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations.
Our commitment as members – staff, board and volunteers – is to be examples of honesty, integrity, professionalism and excellence in philanthropy.
By acknowledging, I understand the ICoF Board reserves the right to dismiss or deny the membership of any individual or organization who does not uphold this commitment.
